Wedding Bands
So I got the wedding band I ordered in the mail today. It was made in France in 1876, and is actually two rings that fit together, puzzle fashion. It looks really good and is shiny like a new ring, not one that's 130 years old. I ordered it from an antiques dealer in Amsterdam, and they got it here in like 3 days! Isn't modern transport mind boggling?

whoa... that is the most original wedding band story I will ever hear. You win hands down.
And I think it may also be the coolest band ever! I can't wait for the big day for you two!
Three cheers for the internet!
Beautiful! What site did you use or how did you come about it on the internet exactly?
I googled "antique jewelery", and went through culling all the useless sites. There were a lot. Lots of companies make antique style jewelry, so you have to look out for the stuff that really is legitimate. I wouldn't recommend Ebay at all in this particular area. Eventually I found a site that was simple and straightforward in it's presentation of its pieces. It's at http://www.adin.be/ I had a really good experience with them. It wasn't until I went to order that I realized it was in Belgium... which now makes sense why they had so much Victorian and European items.
My wedding band, I think is coming from www.affordableweddingbands.com ... though I am not entirely sure.
